Enola Holmes
Overview
While searching for her missing mother, intrepid teen Enola Holmes uses her sleuthing skills to outsmart big brother Sherlock and help a runaway lord.
My review :
Unsurprisingly mediocre, i’ve watched a LOT of Sherlock reboots and I fail to understand how this adds to the saga, it provides few grounds to cover and there isn’t enough development or thematic shine to really push the vehicle forward. Truth be told, theres not enough of a difference to simply make a difference. I mean its nice they provide a feminist point of view but rather then that, I feel cheapened by it. I’d much rather a fresh story that has nothing to do with anything else that provides a female lead then a thinly scripted addition to an already fulfilled, or even over fulfilled saga. It’s always nice to see Helena Bonham Carter though, and the film in it of itself will be one that children and young adults will come to adore, but not me. 49/100
