My opinion : THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL – Is a fantastic comedy filled with gravely interesting color palleted imagery and the usually hyperbolic stylistic choices of Sir Wes Anderson including his dizzingly unconvential characters and their unique personalities which makes for well, a very unique film that surprises us with nonstop humour and slapstick that sort of reminds you of the 40s which quite frankly puts a definite and long lasting smile to my face. The films way of moving along the story makes it feel like its nonstop and it truly never is unfunny or a plot hole. Understandably, some scenes may just be too unrealistic for some but thats Andersons wildly imaginative style working at full throttle in what may be one of his most well rounded and achieved film. Concierge Gustave H. And his co équipier Zero are perfectly matched and make for a great team that go through an extensive and excitingly over the top story through love, humour, excitement, more humour, and in the end a sort of poignant finale. But there goes the terrifically acted story of our characters whom like I just said are performed extraordinarily well and are more then likeable as they both grow throughout the story in their own way. The film is near perfection with the most flaws only arriving at the first 12 minutes of the film, its a more then fun and enjoyable ride that anybody whose anybody could thoroughly enjoy if of-course you aren’t a realism freak and who can appreciate a little craziness and unconventionality in a movie that well, once in a while is good to have since hollywood rarely ever pulls off such a feet. 9.2/10
