My opinion : The fourth or fifth (if you count civil war as an avengers film) Avengers movie ends in spectacular fashion and goes well beyond the expectations of fans and critics alike, making for a unique, thoroughly enjoyable film that has everything we want in a super hero film with more. The movie clocks in at three hours and starts with a slow first act explaining the damage Thanos had done to the universe and our very like able characters, a world so broken and torn with our heroes trying everything in their power to salvage whats lost and make anew. The movie starts with one of my personal favorite intros to a movie this year, showcasing the confusion and dread of what happened to numerous family’s around the world when thanos snapped his infinity gauntlet and evaporated half of the universe. Most of the few problems there really are in the film comes in the first act or even the first thirty minutes starts slow and can almost bore the viewer yet, it is necessary to set up the characters and how they’ve moved on. Afterwards the film comes up with very creative and original things for our heroes to do (something that involves time travel which for me is always a no go for filmmakers unless they’re facing an audience that has no problems whatsoever with breaking a few physics/scientific rules) and gives us a funny yet somewhat emotional nostalgia trip that goes throughout the years of all marvel movies (from the guardians of the galaxy to the first Avengers movie) where we get a different point of view of each film (example: what happened right after, etc) and its really interesting. The characters fight against interesting foes that you wouldn’t expect and honestly, its truly refreshing to see something like this thats never ever been done in any movie whats so ever. The paste of the movie stays consistently perfect right after the first thirty minutes and there goes our heroes. Finally right after that entire time travel mumbo jumbo we’re right back with another problem our heroes face ; Thanos, and the final act of the film is basically everything you want in a action film and something fans or regular audiences have waited on for many years, a final battle .so thrillingly breathtaking and powerfully intense that you’d be applauding at the screen in tears at what you’re witnessing, and honestly, the climax will go down as one of the most exciting fight scenes ever displayed in cinemas. Though I wasn’t a big fan of that feminist driven moment in the fight scene with all the women fighting together because it felt forced. There are many twists in the movie that you wouldn’t expect and it’ll leave you more then satisfied with the movie. All this talk about the movies scenes and I almost forgot to talk about the insanely talented ensemble cast that each give a formidably satisfying performance of their characters and so forth. The soundtrack in the film truly does keep you on the edge of your seat with its catchy tunes and emotionally resonant pace. The film’s not just all positive though as it does have its fair share of sad scenes that’ll leave us in tears and truly makes us acknowledge that after the movie comes the time to say good bye to most of our favorite heroes (including stan lee may he rest in peace). Anyways, the film rocks, and it may be the best marvel superhero film to date that ends the saga perfectly, not leaving us wanting for more but still proud of being part of the marvel universe. 9.1/10
