My opinion : John Wick 3 : Parabellum is a fine example of why action choreographed scenes in films can be considered art. The film has plenty of some of its best stunt work in recent years, proving once again that consistency is on the John Wick movies’s side. Yet theres a particularly interesting thing you should realize in them is that the first has a good story and good action sequences, the second has an okay storyline but even better action sequences and Parabellum well, compares fairly good storytelling with extremely realistically gorgeous action sequences that are as incredible as they are intensely satisfying. Many of the reasons for why John Wick is above average in the action fighting genre is of multiple things, first the wide shots which show everything the fight has to offer, including the amazingly well talented cast and continuous dedication of Keanu Reeves in his performance as the world class assassin. But nothing goes without saying as we enjoy our newcomer in the franchise, being Sofia portrayed ferociously well by Halle Berry that stole every scene she was and I think the directors made a mistake not letting her be more in the movie, she was just too good and would’ve made for an even greater finally even if the end fight was honorable and beautifully shot. Parabellum is the JW film with the most action sequences which can sometimes get tiring and I feel it sort of does at the end as we wait for something different that we haven’t seen like for example the amazingly well made first two fight scenes were a complete breath of fresh air and honestly made me rethink about all those eastern fighting movies with Jet Li of Jackie Chan being so unique and incredibly well done, but I digress, the fight scenes didn’t dissapoint me and was what I was expecting, its just the first two and even that entire incredible scene with Halle Berry was great. So all i’m saying is, the very last fight scene was a cut down in quality and felt over-longed and “been there done that” except for the green light scene (you’ll know) that happens before. Anyways, the movie was really cool to watch and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 8.6/10
