My Opinion : Kick-Ass is nothing but plain old action fun and isn’t to be taken seriously. Elevated by thoroughly energetic performances from newcomer Chloe Grace Moretz, Aaron Taylor Johnson and even a suitably favorable one from the Nicholas Cage and Christopher Mintze-Plasse who basically plays, sort of the same character in any one of his film. Among the many redeeming qualities found in the movie, one that stands out is the outstanding action sequences that are well choreographed and very enjoyable, and thats elevated by a kickass soundtrack from John Murphys whose a master at squeezing any sort of emotion from a film, though it does sound too good and serious for a film like this, I’ll still let it be. The film never slows down and never really needs to pick up the pace from beginning to end. One problem though was that the film was somewhat predictable sometimes which does undo the spark of energy and fun the film constantly produced. And as per obvious with a film like this, the villain isn’t particularly interesting or like able which isn’t all that good. Other then that any one else is great in the film and we have a great sense of empathy for our heroes. Honestly a fun movie all around thats a breath a fresh air and remains unique and superior to the genre it fits in. 8.2/10
