Avengers: Infinity War
Overview
As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment - the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.
My opinion : In the first part of the two part final Avengers film, our heroes will face they’re most powerful foe yet ; Thanos, a mad titan whose ideas of purging the world is of killing off half the population of basically everything. Clocking in at nearly three hours, the film is a marvelous cinematic achievement that has very few flaws and a lot to say, but it is less of an Avengers film and more of the story of Thanos. It has nearly everything you’ve come to expect in a superhero movie and is filled with heart, insanely well done action set pieces that’ll blow your mind, a perfectly matching pace and powerful performances from basically everyone. The film does not slow down and it remains consistently well done for basically the entire run time. Thanos is in my opinion the best villain because he’s also the one with ideas you’d consider might be the absolute truth. What keeps the film from tipping over sudden failures is that we the audience have no idea whats going to happen, we actually do not know if the heroes could win anytime soon and it makes for a very emotionally resonant film when the directors know how to cut down a few heroes. Overall the film was satisfying and although it seems to have no mistakes and the film sets up Endgame perfectly, giving us an indication that the next film will be a great one. 8.8/10
