My opinion : Back to the Future is a 1985 American science fiction film directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by Zemeckis and Bob Gale. It stars Michael J. Fox as teenager Marty McFly, who accidentally travels back in time to 1955, where he meets his future parents and becomes his mother’s romantic interest. Christopher Lloyd portrays the eccentric scientist Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown, inventor of the time-traveling DeLorean, who helps Marty repair history and return to 1985. I haven’t watched this cult film in a long time but someone asked me to review so here goes : the actors are well played (maybe a little too overplayed which happens to work in favor for the film so props for that), the story is very fun and the movie is an all out roller coaster ride going back in time. The characters are iconic (maybe not as iconic as the Delorean), the music is amazingly catchy and well composed, the plot moves at a reasonable pace and it never backs down on the ever consistent humor. This is the perfect family and even though it isn’t a masterpiece, it sure deserves to be on the top most iconic films through all of cinema. 8.5/10
