The Irishman
Overview

My Opinion : The Irishman saddens me because it’s quite possibly the last film of it’s kind that will ever be put to screen; a sleek, vintage mafia, narratively awe dropping film that Scorsese’s been mastering for roughly half a century. This film is played wonderfully and given striking subject matter to work with; the end of times as we are met with our characters, old and broken down with old age. It’s 3h30 runtime is collosal and it does slow down on the exhilarating action in the middle for thirty minutes or so, it’s even outright boring. But the other three hours is cinematic perfection filled with plenty of age old suspense, great acting from Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and the incredible Joe Pesci, we really felt like we were in their world. 84/100
