Overview
At the height of the First World War, two young British soldiers must cross enemy territory and deliver a message that will stop a deadly attack on hundreds of soldiers.
My opinion : From the director of the “better” Bond films comes a thrilling epochal epic that stands high in its grandeur and spectacularity as we really are constantly on the edge of our seat. But what 1917 makes up for in its glorious set pieces and a beautiful tour de france from roger deakins it lacks tragically in some form of character development, although not disturbingly enough to stop the audience from disliking them otherwise.
