Jojo Rabbit
Overview
A World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother is hiding a young Jewish girl in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler, Jojo must confront his blind nationalism.
My Opinion :Jojo Rabbit is more or less a film Wes Anderson would make if he had lost his streak of great films. The film is heart felt and I mean every sense of those two words, it’ll make you smile and cry and dance all throughout. The characters are fun to watch and the story I found uniquely beautiful; we have never seen what Nazism was to a 10 year old boy’s perspective and lens, its quite a beauty to watch but it struggles when one realizes that the film plays it way too safely, though with reason, it still downgrades the film in terms of power during the scenes. The love story is in all regards quite alright but it lacks conversation and depth (despite already having a lot it could’ve done more), overall the film is a solid watch, but it could’ve done better. 77/100
