28 Weeks Later
Overview
The inhabitants of the British Isles have lost their battle against the onslaught of disease, as the deadly rage virus has killed every citizen there. Six months later, a group of Americans dare to set foot on the isles, convinced the danger has come and gone. But it soon becomes all too clear that the scourge continues to live, waiting to pounce on its next victims.
My Opinion : Though it doesn’t hold to its predecessors masterful filmmaking and thematic beauty, 28 Weeks Later is a somewhat smart, fast paced film with an array of like able characters and sometimes very very well written scenes (such as the conversations between the soldiers, that one really did stand out as a masterpiece of dialogue in my opinion) as well as owning one of the greatest opening scenes to any zombie film period. But the films plot points and dumbassery at times that could only advance the plot really did bring me out of the film for a couple minutes, but not enough for me to not consider 28 Weeks Later as a good to very good movie, and a relatively honorable sequel to what could be marked as the greatest zombie film ever made. 75/100
