Terminator: Dark Fate
Overview
Decades after Sarah Connor prevented Judgment Day, a lethal new Terminator is sent to eliminate the future leader of the resistance. In a fight to save mankind, battle-hardened Sarah Connor teams up with an unexpected ally and an enhanced super soldier to stop the deadliest Terminator yet.
My opinion : Compared to previous lackluster installments, this newcomer ends up above average with interesting characters, a unique plot and a plausibly realistic closure to the franchise so as to not damage it anymore with money hungry corporations. Dark Fate has classic Terminator tropes and clichés, including an obvious principally female driven film which has never been seen in a Terminator film, and it thankfully does not jam it down our throats with political bull crap. So even though the story is wholly uninteresting in its first 20 minutes, it gets more and more interesting as it fills in with fresh meat on the table, each of them more impressively original then the last. I was happily surprised by a movie that did not need to be made but was above casual mediocrity as we have seen in previous Terminator films (looking atchu’ Genisys and Salvation). 71/100
